Nicholas Buckle

Bachelor of Architecture (BArch Hons) - Nottingham Trent University, UK

Architectural Graduate, Placemaker + Visual Storyteller

I am a UK-trained architecture graduate and 3D visualizer with over a decade of experience spanning bespoke residential/commercial design, urban design, and masterplanning.

Passionate about creating thoughtful, sustainable spaces, I draw inspiration from a site’s heritage and surroundings to craft honest design solutions that enhance daily life.

Exploring native history has shaped my understanding of cultural considerations in design, specifically to more contextually sensitive projects with regards to reconciliation.

Skilled in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Revit, and 3D visualization software, I approach every project with attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality design. Now based in Vancouver, I’m eager to bring my expertise to meaningful projects in Canada.

Jealotts Hill - Garden Village

Within the Local Plan, Bracknell Forest Council identified Jealott’s Hill as a location for a major ‘garden village’ development consisting of 2,000 homes, a school, community facilities and a science and innovation park.

The land needed to be reclassified so it is no longer designated as Green Belt land. The Local Plan stated 115.7 hectares of land should be removed from the green belt to make way for the settlement.

Graphic Design

The client is starting a design and build company on Vancouver Island, specializing in garden architecture, from tiny homes and pagodas to sheds and fences.

With a family heritage tracing back to Sicily, where he first learned his trade, it was clear that his Italian roots and the name "Granata" should be key features of the logo design.

I incorporated olive branches beckoning you into the logo to reflect and honor this rich heritage.
